Should you take a divot?

Hi Guys.  When playing iron shots off the fairway should you be taking a divot to get a good ball strike?

    I believe you should. But the divot should be thin not thick. A divot proves that your descending through impact and moving your weight to you target side.

    Couldn’t of said it better myself. For me a shallow divot gives me the best feel and feedback from the shot. Nothing better. #TakeCharge
