Hitting fairways with arrow straight drives is something we all strive for. Â Well maybe its not that hard to achieve with the correct mindset and fundamentals. Â Follow these simple steps and we guarantee you will hit more fairways.
This may seem very simple, but sometimes why should it not be simple? Â Give this a go an post your comments, this works every day with our students. Â Enjoy.
Can you tell me why I hit the driver off the toe – no matter how close I stand to the ball?

Hi Alec. Thanks for the question. The first thing to work on is posture as you mentioned. Make sure you are the right distance away. See our set up videos. If the posture is good then it is more likely due to a steep down swing where the shaft angle is to vertical at impact. I would have a look at our swing plane videos and “Over the top” swing fault. Take a look and we have lots of drills in there to help. Let us know if you have any more questions.
Thanks

Hi,
Ive been watching your videos consistently for months now and love the content.
Any advice on how to stop a snap hook with driver ?
It only occurred recently and used to hit it straight. It has resorted me to hit irons off the tee which is all well and good for keeping me in the fairway but i lose about 90 yards. It is really frustrating and would appreciate any help.
Thanks and keep up the great videos!

Hi Jordan. The first thing you need to check is the grip. Your hands may be in a strong position on the club. If you go through the Fault Finder in the “create a plan” section and go to the “Fixes” thumbnail. there will be a video on this. Once you have checked this take a look at the move away in the back swing. The face is more than likely closed here. Let us know how you get on with this. Start with grip though as it usually starts there. Hope it helps.
Thanks
Andy
Can you offer any tips to a 3-cap on swinging (driver) within yourself? I get the sense that under tournament pressure I begin to lose control of swing speed both in backswing and downswing.
The key thing to think about is where you miss is also? How is your pre shot routine and what do you focus on when under pressure?

Hey guys
Love your videos
No matter what I try I always slice the ball off the tee because I turn me hips to fast and they push towards the ball
Any tips or drills?
Thanks

Hi Rory.
Thanks for the comment. Have you seen our latest video series “Turn your slice in to a draw”? If not then there is so much information in there that will help. If you have, you really need to look at what the club face is doing. It is open to the path at impact. You need to work at getting a better face to path relationship. Work less about the hips and more about the face at this stage. The hips will come second. Work on bending the ball the other way first.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks
