In my opinion, accuracy is far better than distance because being on the fairway always allows you to have a better chance of making a par or whatever score required for your handicap. Whereas being in the rough or even deep into a hedge will make it much harder to allow you to play some great golf. Having said that, if you cant hit your driver 220 yards plus, i think it is a must to try and gain more distance to enable you to reach the green in two or what ever required.

I’m currently working on distance and accuracy. I’m now hitting 70%FIR but I have lost 20yards wich is like 1 or 22 club difference. I have not seen a difference in scores yet.
Yes accuracy firstly then add distance later

Accuracy is always better than distance. Someone who can hit the ball dead straight but shorter than another player who is long and inaccurate will always be a better scorer in golf. Distance has no advantage when you have to take a penalty stroke each time your ball goes out of bounds.
