Well, we’ve taken an in-depth look through the history books to find out how much influence the signs of the zodiac hold when out on the course.

And it turns that you are more likely to become a champion golfer if you are this one particular star sign…

Major winners and their star signs

We analysed 160 years of men’s major championships, 221 different champions and their birthdays (where they were in the public domain) and star signs to identify:

– which star signs were most dominant in top-level golf
– which months of birth most frequently generated champion golfers

Why are Virgos well suited to golf?
