On the same theme as my comment on squaring the club face throughout the putting stroke, I note this clip makes no mention of club face alignment. With many of your other clips, club face alignment ha…

Hi Ian. Great question. There has to be some rotation of the face through the golf ball albeit less than a full swing. It will not stay poiting at the target though, it will just rotate less. This is …

For distance control you mentioned in the clip that such control can be achieved using the length of the back swing. I appreciate that in a 10 minute clip for beginners you can’t include much more tha…

Hi. I was led to believe that on a chip shot, the ball should be closer to the back foot. Is there something in this or should I really keep ball central in stance as shown here? Thanks.

    1. Andy

We would prefer more centred Shane. Back is ok in the rough as it will help to create a steeper attack angle. Only change it though if you are not having success with it back.

      Thanks

thanks Andy. I’ll experiment with it centered, My chipping is pretty inconsistent at the moment. Can you give some tips on how to deal with different lies? Sometime the ball sits high on the grass an…

Hi guys! wanted to ask whether the role and movement of the wrists is the same in a pitch shot as compared to your lesson for beginners on the 7 iron? To be clear, I am referring to the wrist movement…

Great question! there will be less club face rotation inn the through swing as there isn’t as much speed. You should see that the body and club work a little more together and this “slightly” reduces …
