If ur ball continues to go left, what is ur next drill to cure the hook?

    1. Andy

Hi Joseph. If the ball goes left for a right handed golfer then the club face will be closed. The first thing to check is the grip then the first part of the back swing to see if there club face is in…

If my driver shots go straight then bend,is that a path issue and not a face issue

    1. Andy

If they are starting straight then this means your face is square to the target at impact but your path is left or right depending on the curve. It could still be a combination of both being slight ou…

Another great drill .ive done this and it works .

  4. jakkeee10

    would this work for driver?

    1. Andy

      Yes Jake for everything.

      Thanks

      Andy

If I have a closed club face at the top, would the reverse Up, Down, Up work for helping correct that?

    1. Andy

Yes that could work. Have a go on the range and let us know if it helps. It is just about creating a feeling.

      Thanks

      Andy

  6. rgould

    Try this

  7. csjoels

After this drill I can only swing this way (down, up, down). Is it ok to use this permanently in my swing?

    1. Andy

If the ball flight is doing what you want it too then that is fine.

      Thanks

      Andy

  8. Alexander Ironside

    Hi Andy/Piers,
Will this work with drivers off the tee or is this Iron specific?

    1. Andy

Hi Alexander. This will work with all clubs yes.

      Thanks

      Andy

    Wow, thanks for this video.
One of my biggest problems is club face position. I’ve been working on it and when I transition from driver/fairway wood to iron shot I.e 3rd shot in front of the green…

    1. Andy

      Hi Jenni.

Thanks for the question. If you are in a competition round then make sure you allow for any curve that you are having that day. One thing to check though is the club face as you swing back…

  10. Jamie M.

Hi there. I assume you wouldn’t want to actually swing like this long-term, right? Is it to exaggerate the motion then your body will meet in the middle somewhere naturally? Thanks!

    1. Andy

Yes definitely slightly exaggerated here to feel the difference in the club face. The ball flight will certainly help you see how much too.

      Thanks

      Andy
